Today is a very sad day for me. My beloved friend, a Brussels Griffon I named Betty’s Tazmanian Belle, nicknamed Verdel, had to be put down. My heart is breaking but the past two weeks, he’s had trouble eating/drinking/walking and the quality of life looked grim. I took him to the vet today and they told me it was cancer. I love him too much to allow him to be in pain and this was hurting. He is being cremated so his ashes will also be in a little pine box with his name on it for me to look at … he’d been acting like he was trying to talk to angels this past week just like my George did the last week of his life … Verdel. I hope my heart can be strong enough to handle this loss.
I’ll see him again at Rainbow Bridge.
